Season 2008 Game 3: Raiders

Raiders 21 v. Brewers 12.

We had an early start with everyone doing the job with the bat in the first innings. Unfortunately we were unable to maintain the momentum and keep the runs flowing. Raiders pitcher did an excellent job mixing speed that had our batters swinging at unfamiliar balls.

Best Players:

• Stew in a new found position on the mound. Pitched 7 innings

Best Plays:

• Jarren’s undercover work from home base!!!!!!! (In his defence he is still home crook: He may have been spiked).
• Stew’s effort to dethrone Andy as our tunnel ball Queen.
• Peter’s amazing efforts to simultaneously throw the ball away like a hot potato as he was gloving the ball.

Hits: Unable to provide hits this week as we were short of a scorer.
Home Runs: Nil.
Batted 1000: Nil.

Good to see Peter finally being in Perth and able to play.

Next week will see us bounce back with the bat and continue to improve our defensive skills.
